Meet our staff of industry professionals

Dave brown -
Marina Operations Consultant

Dave joined the team in 2008 as Marina Operations Consultant and has enhanced the development of Desmond Marine and River Street Marina under that umbrella.

Dave has 39 years of experience with Bridgeview Marina in Sarnia, Ontario. Bridgeview Marina recently extended the managing and administration of Sarnia Bay Marina. Between both Sarnia operations, Dave owns and operates over 1,100 slips for the local boaters.

Rodney Forbes -
general manager

Rodney has been with Desmond Marine as General Manager since its conception in 2004 and in the marina industry for 33 years.

Rodneys certifications include: International Code Council - Michigan Class A UST systems operator, Class B UST Systems Operator, State of Michigan Storm Water Management Certification and Marine Travellift Model 50BFMII Certification. 

MIchael Davenport -
public relations/harbormaster

Mike has been with Desmond Marine since 2002 and has also been the harbormaster for the city of Port Huron since 2008.

Splitting his time between the two entities has grown the relationship between Desmond Marine and the overall Great Lakes boating community. Mike also retains an active Master’s 100 Tons Captain’s License.

Lisa downing -
office manager

Lisa is Office Manger at Desmond Marine. She has been with the marina since 1988, and was asked to continue on in 2004 with the conception and new beginning of Desmond Marine. 

A graduate of St. Clair County Community College, her degree in accounting assists with the daily workings of the book keeping and customer support.

Our team of lift operators have over 75 years of combined experience in the marine industry and know what it takes to keep your boat safe and secure.
